SomNOG7: Technical Workshops & Conference - December 22nd – 26th, 2024
The Somali Network Operators' Group (SomNOG) hosted SomNOG7 in Mogadishu, Somalia from December 22nd to 26th, 2024. This event brought together ICT professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss Somalia’s digital future.
The event featured 3 days of technical workshops and a 1-day conference, focusing on the theme, "Digital Public Infrastructure: Laying the Foundations for Somalia’s Digital Future." Attendees participated in a variety of sessions addressing the country’s ICT challenges, growth opportunities, and digital transformation.

SomNOG7 Track 3: Software Development
SomNOG7 Track 3: Software Development offered an immersive Full-Stack Development with the MERN Stack workshop over three days. This hands-on training was designed for software developers, computer science students, and recent graduates looking to advance their skills in building scalable, data-driven web applications. Participants gained practical experience in developing modern web applications, with a focus on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), following a 60% practice to 40% theory ratio.
